|Needs of students and faculty members of DPS Noida are being catered by 3 different libraries.
1. Senior School Library
2. Middle School Library
3. Junior School Library
These Libraries offer a range of Resources to its members. These resources are provided to cater the specific academic needs of the members. The libraries have a well selected collection of Books, Journals, Periodicals, Newspapers and Audio Visual Media. New additions are constantly made in order to keep the library abreast of the latest.
Senior School Library
|It caters to the needs of Classes 9 – 12 : It has a rich collection of 15,000 documents to strengthen the undergoing courses in school. Documents related to different major disciplines are available in the Library. It has reserved some collection as reference which can be referred in the Library only, borrowing privileges are not given on this collection.
Infrastructure: It has a spacious reading room. A separate reference area has been provided for the students as well as the faculty members. Stack area is spread over two floors. Library provides open access to its users.
OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue): It has been fully computerized and Library collection is available to users through OPAC (On-Line Public Access Catalogue), which is expected to be available on the net soon.
Library Membership: It is open for all the students and faculty members. Members are issued a library card for all transaction in the Library. Overdue books draw fine.
Library Timings: Library remains open from 8.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on all working days.
Shelf Arrangement: Books are processed using AACR-II code for cataloguing and Dewey decimal classification. The Call Number helps in locating the books on the shelves.
Middle Library: caters to the needs of classes VI-VIII. It has a collection of around 12,000 documents. Encyclopedia’s, journals, reference books and fiction is made available to all studnets.
Junior Library also known as Tiny Tots Library is catering to the student of upto class 5. Almost 10,000 documents are available in this library.
