Interact Club

Since its inception in 1995, the Interact Club of Delhi Public School, Noida, in collaboration with Rotary Club of Noida, has been actively involved in community service initiatives. Each year, it contributes enthusiastically to projects such as Public Polio programme, interaction with local orphanages, old people homes, tree plantations, AIDS awareness and more membership to the club is a coveted privilege upholding social causes with conviction, the Interact Club has select members form Classes IX to XII and works closely with the Rotary Club of Noida. 

The annual Inter-School western music extravaganza of Interact Club, called Interact Thunder is its pride event.

1) The pulse polio drive held on Sunday, 7th April, 2013

A number of members of the Interact club of Delhi Public School, Noida were involved in this Rotary club initiative. The students jumped at the opportunity and be a tiny part of a historical movement and participation was wholehearted. Tuition classes , television sets and the sweltering heat was forgotten for these hours and instead this Sunday afternoon was dedicated to interacting with the nervous children and reflecting back to when they got their own polio drops. Within an hour they were experts at convincing the reluctant children to open their mouths, making sure they got the right dosage and cheering them up after the entire ordeal!  They administered the drops themselves to more than fifty children upto the age of five.

2) The pulse polio drive held on Sunday, 15th September, 2013

Another attempt by the Interactors of Delhi Public School Noida in serving the society and helping the future generation to grow as healthy citizens. Despite the examination pressure, the students willingly participated in the Polio Drive and did their bit for society. They all found it to be a very gratifying and fulfilling experience.

3) Sensitizing students to the sentinels of the nation gratitude offered in form of rakhis

The ever effervescent students decided to send their love and affection in form of Rakhis to the soldiers on the borders of the nation reminding them that we care.
We got a very encouraging reply from the BRIGADE COMMANDER OF THE INDIAN ARMY.

 4)  “Your pain is ours, let us share it”

Donation by the ENTIRE SCHOOL for the Uttarakhand victims.

5) A donation drive inspired by the principal in spreading warmth and giving clothes to the poor and needy

8) DILA’13- AT Apeejay sheikh sarai had our interactors giving a dance performance in front of  a 3000 strong audience

9) The annual musical; extravaganza INTERACT THUNDER

INTERACT THUNDER’13 was held on 22nd November’13 which saw 16 scintillating performances from 16 most reputed schools of Delhi and  Noida. The event was inaugurated by the principal and was attended by Major Dalbeer singh, director new generations Rotary Noida, Rtn Deepak bhargava president Rotary club Noida and other Rotarians. The guest band was the very famous barefaced liar. The ventr was a huge success and was covered by India TV.

10) Katha Utsav 2013

Sanskriti School, 27th Dec: KATHA, an NGO aiming to transform lives by breaking the language barrier organised a literary extravaganza a few days back. The 4-day workshop began with an icebreaker and orientation on the 27th. Over 200 budding writers were handpicked from among 3500 children from schools across the country to be a part of this workshop. DPS Noida was represented by Sejal Gupta and Shreya Rastogi, students of class 10.

A choice of 12 workshops was made available to students. Choices included workshops on theatre, journalism, film making and haiku. A twitter cafe was set up so students could tweet about their experiences. A small corner dedicated to a youtube cafe performed the same function. An entire corridor was transformed into a culture cafe where any child was free to express himself. Participants wrote about random objects, spoke about themselves, doodled and expressed thoughts about culture.

The festival created a creative atmosphere which actively encouraged children to let their imaginations take control. Katha Utsav 2013 was an enriching experience for all those who were a part of it.

11) Cohesion 2013

An event organized by Apeejay School, Sheikh Sarai.

Our school participated in 6 categories which were Group Dance (on women empowerment), PowerPoint presentation (on lending a helping hand), Poster making (on crime against women), salad making, best out of waste and rigmarole. We bagged the third prize in the best out of waste category.

12) Social Initiative For the Muzzafarnagar Victims

27 August.,2013.Clashes between Hindu and Muslim Communities of Muzzaffarnagar claimed 43 lives and left 93 injured.

The interactors started a collection drive . All the  sudents and parents donated woolen  clothes , books and other essentials to the victims of this tragedy. We Care.
