Environment Club

With membership from Class VI-IX, the Club operates in collaboration with the Environment Education Center of DPS Society to sensitize students on environmental problems through a wide range of activities like water testing, tree plantation campaign, exhibitions etc.

14th October Cleanliness Drive in the Community
Forty five student council members accompanied by seven teachers, focused on cleaning a common park facing the cluster of mobile shops. Students took this Shramdan drive with a lot of enthusiasm and pride.

SEPTEMBER

Students of environment club collected e-waste from their RWA’s and brought to the school. Prizes 1st, 2nd and 3rd were adjudged based on their collection . The e-waste collected was handed over to Attero E-waste recycling NGO that recycles the e-waste in an organised manner.

Poster Making Competition

October 13, 2014 Delhi Public School Noida highlighted the view of Mahatma Gandhi of clean and hygienic India. A poster making competition was held in all the classes from Class VI to XII. About 2500 students took part in the competition . This competition enabled all the students to come across various new ideas and aspects of physical hygiene and spiritual cleanliness.

Cleanliness Drive in the School

A cleanliness drive was organized on 13th October 2014 in Delhi Public School Noida , in which about 2500 students from Classes VI to XII actively participated and cleaned their immediate surroundings, Classes, Playgrounds, Healthy Bites, Canteen area, Gandhi park and all Corridors. This provided the students with a wider view of Gandhiji’s vision of clean India. With this event students became an active participant of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan an initiative of government and promised to take forward Gandhiji’s vision of clean India

Speech Competition

Speech Competition for Classes VI and VII was organised by Environment club on 14th October 2014 .4 students from each section were chosen to put forth their views on Gandhiji’s vision of a ‘Clean India’ and the actual state of cleanliness in the country. The students came up with suggestions to solve this grave problem and took a pledge promising to incorporate ways for a newer, cleaner India.

Cleanliness Drive in the Community

A cleanliness drive in the busiest market area of Sector -18 was taken up by Student Council members of Delhi Public School Noida on 14 thOctober 2014. Forty five student council members accompanied by seven teachers, focused on cleaning a common park facing the cluster of mobile shops. Students took this Shramdan drive with a lot of enthusiasm and pride.

Under INDO GERMAN EXCHANGE PROGRAM, environment club organised a workshop in the paper recycling plant in DPS Noida on 28th October 2014. German students recycled paper and made chart sheets out of it.

Environment club also arranged an educational trip on 30th October 2014,to Okhla Bird Santuary for german students.

Students observed the birds and biodiversity in the sanctuary and also made sparrow house .

NOVEMBER

DP S Noida participated in the Annual Inter-DPS Environmental Festival 2014 in various activities, on 8th November 2014.
Achievements: DPS Noida was awarded second prize in the category of ‘Eco-bin’.
