Achievements of Dramatics Club

“What I wear on stage is my mask. You see, a mask doesn’t hide you, it exposes you.”
― Nuno Roque

The hallowed stage that all actors revere, the musty smell of grease paint and the glorious, euphoric spotlight- isn’t this what any actor lives for?

Mukhaute, the Dramatics club of DPS Noida, endeavours to provide a platform to its 200+ members from across 6th to 12th to express their innermost feelings, via this medium.

On 11th November, at Mayoor School, Noida, the occasion called upon our club to send a team for a short play, prepared within precisely an hour, based on a theme given to us on the spot, which was “Jeene ke hain chaar din.”

Our young superstars rose to the occasion, giving a performance par excellence, winning the first position for this event, in the process. The main idea that was to be propagated through this play, was how short, unstable and untrustworthy our human mortality was, due to which, we should live every moment of our life as if it were our last, because who knows, it just might.

“Theatre is a mirror, a sharp reflection of society”

MUKHAUTE, The Dramatics club of DPS Noida took an initiative to spread the awareness in the society through the students about the cleanliness drive of our respected Prime Minister under the aegis of “SWACH BHARAT MISSION”. To sensitize the students about the importance of a clean environment, the members of the dramatics club performed a street playbetter known as ‘NukkadNatak’.

Major issues like, littering in public places, polluting the water and soil, using public toilets etc. were raised in the play. The lighter moments and jokes in between couldn’t dilute our strong message of keeping the environment clean.

This burning topic which was showcased not only made the students aware about the importance of a clean environment but also motivated them to adopt cleanliness as priority in their day to day life.
The idea of sanitation and cleanliness ushering in the horizon of the society is definitely going to change the mindset of masses.
